In order to do so, BULLKID-DM is investigating three different strategies which rely on the deposit of energy in its active volume through two different methods: <br>1. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/lantern\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"575\">LANTERN <\/a>is a BULLKID-DM subsystem that allows for fast bursts of optical photons to illuminate the silicon substrate. <br>2. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/bullcam\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"577\">BULLCAm <\/a>is a BULLKID-DM subsystem that intends to use the X-rays emitted by a <sup>241<\/sup>Am source to deposit energy in the active volume of the experiment. <br>3. <a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/lanthanum-induced-x-gamma-rays\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"625\">Using X-rays and Gamma-rays produced by Lanthanum<\/a> when struck by the X-Rays produced by  <sup>60<\/sup>Co and  <sup>241<\/sup>Am sources. <br><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>In all particle physics experiments, and especially when trying to detect rare-events, it is of critical importance that the experimental setup is properly calibrated, i.e. a unique correspondance is found between the signals at play and the physical quantities the experiment aims to measure.
