{"id":674,"date":"2026-01-22T21:37:30","date_gmt":"2026-01-22T20:37:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/?page_id=674"},"modified":"2026-01-22T21:55:50","modified_gmt":"2026-01-22T20:55:50","slug":"rd-efforts","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/rd-efforts\/","title":{"rendered":"R&amp;D efforts:"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>While the BULLKID-DM collaboration is currently developing the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/bullkid-detector-array\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"95\">detector array<\/a>, the<a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/readout-electronics\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"395\"> readout electronics<\/a>, and the<a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/particle-shield\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"588\"> particle shields<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/bullkid-veto\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"595\">veto system<\/a>, plenty of Reseach and Development efforts are currently ongoing to further improve the sensitivity of the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/BULLKID-DM\/kinetic-inductance-detectors\/\" data-type=\"page\" data-id=\"237\">Kinetic Inductance Detectors<\/a>. These include:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-columns is-layout-flex wp-container-core-columns-is-layout-9d6595d7 wp-block-columns-is-layout-flex\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-column is-layout-flow wp-block-column-is-layout-flow\" style=\"flex-basis:66.66%\">\n<p><strong>Kinetic Indutance Detectors on Ge-substrates.<\/strong><br>Germanium is a semiconductor quite like Silicon, but Ge nuclei are much heavier than Si nuclei.
