Research interests
Computational Astrophysics: shock-capturing methods for hyperbolic equations, numerical codes for classical and relativistic magnetohydrodynamics (MHD), methods for solving Einstein equations, methods for dissipation and radiation.
Physics of relativistic plasmas and compact objects: numerical models for pulsar winds and their nebulae, diagnostics for non-thermal radiation, models for magnetized neutron stars in general relativity.
Physics of solar and heliospheric plasmas: models of coronal structures (loops, prominences, plumes), propagation of Alfvenic waves in the corona and in the solar wind, compressible MHD instabilities, reconnection in magnetic dominated plasmas.
Physics of Quark-Gluon Plasma, relativistic MHD codes with dissipation, application to the physics of heavy-ion collisions.
