Research interests

I am interested in discrete and continuous dynamical systems and stochastic processes; in particular I investigated out of equilibrium phase transitions, chaotic properties of discrete systems, the relationship between chaos and entropy and synchronization problems. I am also interested in the evolutionary populations theory, in particular in the role of competition in the formation of species, spreading dynamics of epidemics and the interaction between sociology and epidemics, also in the case of computer viruses and autonomous agents.
Finally, I am interested in cognitive dynamics and sociological patterns of human populations, models of formation of opinions, interplay between cognitive structures and Internet-related collective phenomena, cognitive dynamics of learning and teaching physics.
