Andrea Tozzi is a permanent research staff member at INAF\u2013Arcetri Astrophysical Observatory since 2000. Actually he is the team leader of the FERRET team (Focal planE laboRatoRy for tElescope opTics). His work spans optical instrumentation, adaptive optics, infrared spectroscopy and space mission hardware. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

He contributed to the development of wavefront sensors for the Large Binocular Telescope\u2019s adaptive optics system. He played a key role in the GIANO and GIARPS spectrographs at the Telescopio Nazionale Galileo. He has been involved in major ESO and ESA projects, including MOONS, ELT-HIRES\/ANDES, and the ARIEL space mission, where he served as System Engineer for the Telescope Assembly. His technical expertise includes opto-mechanical design, cryogenic systems, electronics and control software. He has coordinated multiple national and institutional grants on infrared instrumentation and fiber-fed spectroscopy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
