Sono stati gli ultimi pazienti trattati prima dell&#8217;interruzione provvisoria delle attivit\u00e0 cliniche peri lavori di potenziamento delCiclotrone Superconduttoredell\u2019INFN. Indiciotto anni di attivit\u00e0 la collaborazione trai Laboratori Nazionali del Sud, il Policlinico Universitario, il Dipartimento di Fisica ed Astronomia e il Centro Siciliano di Fisica Nucleare e Struttura della Materia di Catania, ha permesso la realizzazione di CATANA, primo centro di protonterapia italiano. Il trattamento di pi\u00f9 di 420 pazienti provenienti da tutta Italia e l&#8217;acquisizione di un know-how che INFN ha messo a disposizione della societ\u00e0 sono frutto dell\u2019impegno e della abnegazione di tanti medici, tecnici, amministrativi, ricercatori, tecnologi, fisici medici, dottorandi, specializzandi, post-doc che hanno contribuito tutti in modo essenziale, collaborando nel rispetto reciproco.<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/>Un ringraziamento particolare va al personale delle Divisioni e Servizi dei LNS,che hanno permesso il completamento di questo turno, reso ancora pi\u00f9 complicato dalla situazione contingente legata alla epidemia COVID-19. Ciascuno con le proprie competenze, ogni membro dei LNS ha fatto la propria parte non solo con dedizione ma con un grande sensodella comunit\u00e0 e con la coscienza di fare il proprio dovere di lavoratore e da cittadino, aiutando in ogni modo possibile.<br data-rich-text-line-break=\"true\" \/>Fra poco pi\u00f9 di due anni saremo di nuovo operativi e stiamo mettendo tutto il nostro impegno per fare presto e meglio.
