The new experiment relies on a novel storage-ring layout capable of deflecting protons from the LHC beam halo towards a solid target paired to a bent crystal where forward-boosted charm baryons are produced and channeled inducing large electromagnetic fields and spin precession. In particular&nbsp;for charm and strange&nbsp;baryons and tau leptons.&nbsp;&nbsp;The theoretical, experimental and machine aspects of the proposal will be reviewed and critically discussed in preparation of a future experiment at the CERN LHC. I will explain what challenges were met during data taking,&nbsp;<br>how they were addressed to be able to run in the end with higher instantaneous<br>luminosity than the one for which the experiment was designed.
