Precisely where exposure to this type of particles constitutes a high occupational risk. <\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;4344&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #20415c;\">How does it work?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The developed dosimeter is a\u202fneutron detector, lightweight and\u202fsmall in size, making it easy to wear.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The aim is to optimize the practices adopted in\u202fradioprotection\u202ffor the immediate identification of high-risk situations. <span class=\"Apple-converted-space\">  <\/span>n fact,\u202fthe dosimeter has been designed\u202fto provide real-time indication\u202fof the dose absorbed by the person wearing it, unlike current technologies, which store information for long periods \u2013 a month or more \u2013 and quantify it only later.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The\u202finnovative design\u202fused for its components makes it possible to obtain\u202freliable measurements\u202fover a wide range of energies, from thermal neutrons (fractions of eV) to hundreds of MeV, unlike devices currently used that could be inaccurate due to the extreme variability of the energy of the particles to be detected.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #20415c;\">Applications<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The technology is widely used in radiation protection in:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">Nuclear, oil, civil industry<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Particle accelerator-hosting facilities such as hospitals, healthcare companies and research laboratories<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Nuclear waste treatment<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #20415c;\">Advantages<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<ul class=\"ul1\">\n<li class=\"li1\">It is compact and can be worn by the worker<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">It allows real-time monitoring of radiation exposure<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">Measurements are more accurate than those obtained with the devices in use<\/li>\n<li class=\"li1\">It complies with International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC) specifications<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;
