How does it work?<\/span><\/h3>\n

[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]The invention concerns a new type of radiation detector, ideal for applications such as PET tomography or other high-precision imaging systems.<\/p>\n

The detector uses a scintillator crystal that emits light when struck by particles, coupled to semiconductor photomultiplier (SiPM) sensors arranged as thin, elongated strips. These sensors are connected to the readout circuits in differential mode, a technique that reduces the electrical disturbances and noise, improving temporal and spatial resolution. The system also allows signals to be read from both ends of the sensors, enabling the precise localization of the point and time of the detected event.Thanks to the compact design and the smart arrangement of the sensors, a more efficient, precise and dead zone-free detector is obtained, particularly suitable for large and highly sensitive devices.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n
