L&#8217;impatto dell&#8217;invecchiamento della popolazione sui sistemi sanitari, la crescente attenzione verso le malattie degenerative, la diagnosi precoce e la cura dei tumori sono solo alcuni dei temi al centro delle politiche sanitarie, focalizzate all\u2019obiettivo della medicina personalizzata. Diagnostica per immagini<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Sono allo studio nuove sorgenti di raggi X monocromatici da Free Electron Laser (FEL) o Inverse Compton Scattering (ICS) che consentano la riduzione della dose durante l&#8217;acquisizione delle immagini (ad esempio la mammografia), cos\u00ec come nuovi radio-isotopi che emettano positroni per la PET (Tomografia a Emissioni di Positroni). Inoltre, sistemi ormai considerati standard, come la Risonanza Magnetica Nucleare sono innovati, sia con magneti superconduttori a 7 Tesla per diagnosi di malattie degenerative, sia con l&#8217;utilizzo in sistemi multi-modali (ad esempio PET\/MRI\/EEG). L&#8217;INFN partecipa anche allo sviluppo di nuovi strumenti di acquisizione immagini come la proton computed tomography, per sfruttare appieno i vantaggi dei trattamenti adroterapici.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>3. Cura dei tumori<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">si sono rivelati strumenti importanti, in radioterapia e in adroterapia, gli acceleratori di particelle sviluppati dall&#8217;INFN, cos\u00ec&#8217; come i rivelatori per il monitoring del fascio e gli strumenti software che permettono di pianificare i trattamenti con particelle cariche in modo da rispettare le prescrizioni degli oncologi (Treatment Planning System). Recentemente, l\u2019INFN ha anche avuto un ruolo importante nello sviluppo, costruzione e validazione clinica di un sistema PET per il monitoraggio del range dei fasci adroterapici in tempo reale: il rivelatore INSIDE \u00e8 stato il primo sistema al mondo a fornire un feedback preciso e affidabile durante l\u2019esecuzione di sessioni di trattamento.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: cenjustifyter;\">L&#8217;INFN ha partecipato alla progettazione e realizzazione di centri di rilievo per i trattamenti: CATANA, ai Laboratori Nazionali del Sud di Catania, \u00e8 il primo centro italiano di cure del melanoma oculare con protoni, il CNAO (Centro Nazionale di Adroterapia Oncologica) a Pavia che utilizza un sincrotrone per accelerare protoni o ioni (anche carbonio), che colpiscono in modo estremamente selettivo le cellule tumorali. Inoltre il centro nazionale Trento Institute For Fundamental Physics Applications \u00e8 partner di ricerca del Centro di Protonterapia di Trento, che tratta pazienti affetti da vari tipi di tumore solido e al contempo consente di svolgere ricerca pre-clinica di radiobiologia.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=&#8221;40px&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][\/vc_column][\/vc_row]<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[vc_row css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;
