Tale sistema (ExoCT) si realizza tramite la collimazione del fascio di raggi-x in direzione assiale e una oscillazione della sorgente durante la scansione.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3112&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #20415c;\">Come funziona?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]La CBCT tradizionale presenta due limitazioni intrinseche che ne limitano l\u2019uso nelle analisi quantitative. Tali limitazioni sono principalmente conseguenza: i) dell\u2019abbondanza della radiazione diffusa che raggiunge il rivelatore e ii) dell\u2019ordita di scansione della coppia sorgente-rivelatore confinata su un percorso circolare. L\u2019invenzione proposta (TRL= 2) prevede una riduzione dell\u2019estensione assiale dell\u2019apertura del fascio di raggi-x per limitare tale radiazione diffusa, e una orbita di scansione oscillante-circolare per compensare la riduzione del campo di vista dovuto dalla collimazione, e per ottemperare al sottocampionamento dovuto dall\u2019orbita di scansione circolare tradizionale.
