Il limite di sensibilit\u00e0 di questo strumento risulta pari o superiore a quello del presente stato dell&#8217;arte dei magnetometri. Il principio di lavoro \u00e8 basato sulla modulazione di campo solitamente usata per la misura di risonanze di spin elettronico. Per migliorare la sensibilit\u00e0, il materiale magnetico pu\u00f2 essere accoppiato ad un risuonatore, come un modo a microonde di una cavit\u00e0 risonante.
