I fasci isobari generati da un ciclotrone a bassa energia sono usati per la produzione di radionuclide carrier-free, con potenziali utilizzi in ricerca medica nucleare.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;3393&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<h3><span style=\"color: #20415c;\">Come funziona?<\/span><\/h3>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]I metodi attuali per la produzione di precursori per radiofarmaci hanno problemi quali gli altri costi, la produzione di contaminanti, la laboriosit\u00e0 dei metodi di separazione e la creazione di grandi quantit\u00e0 di scorie radioattive. ISOL (Separazione Isotopica On-Line) \u00e8 riconosciuta come tecnica per la produzione di fasci di ioni radioattivi ad elevata intensit\u00e0 e qualit\u00e0 per studi di fisica nucleare. Permette di produrre ioni esotici con alta efficienza, resa e selettivit\u00e0, dunque \u00e8 applicabile alla produzione di radionuclidi ad alta attivit\u00e0 specifica da usare come precursori per radiofarmaci. Un fascio di protoni proveniente da un acceleratore primario irraggia un target per formare atomi radioattivi che sono poi ionizzati ed accelerati a formare un fascio.
