La soppressione delle vibrazioni permette di ampliare il campo di utilizzo di questi sistemi anche per applicazioni particolarmente sensibili al rumore, come la microscopia a effetto tunnel o gli apparati per la risonanza magnetica (NMR, MRI).<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>I refrigeratori di tipo pulse tube (PT) funzionano attraverso le espansioni di un gas, tipicamente elio, pulsate a una frequenza tipica di 1.4 Hz e comandate attraverso l\u2019apertura di una valvola rotante; il vantaggio di questi sistemi \u00e8 che non necessitano di gas liquefatti ma, di contro, il ciclo di espansione e compressione del gas genera rumore e vibrazioni che possono impedire l\u2019utilizzo di questi sistemi in certe applicazioni.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;2121&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]L\u2019idea consiste nel controllare, in un sistema formato da due o pi\u00f9 PT, le fasi di apertura e chiusura delle valvole in modo che le vibrazioni si cancellino a vicenda, minimizzando il rumore.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Il sistema acquisisce, attraverso apposti microfoni, lo spettro di rumore dei PT che poi viene elaborato da un apposito algoritmo di minimizzazione e utilizzato per comandare l\u2019apertura delle valvole, creando un\u2019interferenza distruttiva che cancella attivamente il rumore.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Questo progetto ha generato una collaborazione con <span style=\"color: #0000ff;\"><a style=\"color: #0000ff;\" href=\"https:\/\/leidencryogenics.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Leiden Cryogenics<\/a><\/span>\u00a0che propone in licenza la tecnologia di soppressione del rumore.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;
