La struttura risultante deve essere a tenuta di vuoto, per consentire il passaggio del fascio di particelle, e deve garantire la conduzione elettrica necessaria alla generazione degli elevatissimi campi elettrici a radiofrequenza che accelerano le particelle. Va da s\u00e9 quindi che la qualit\u00e0 delle brasature che collegano le celle \u00e8 critica per il funzionamento dell\u2019acceleratore e richiede procedure di esecuzione e controllo molto complesse.[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_single_image image=&#8221;2094&#8243; img_size=&#8221;full&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]Il progetto BOLT ha realizzato speciali guarnizioni in rame che garantiscono simultaneamente:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"list-style-type: none;\">\n<ul>\n<li>un\u2019eccellente tenuta da vuoto, anche sottoponendo la giunzione a processi di degassamento (fino a 180-200 C);<\/li>\n<li>un perfetto contatto a RF tra le parti metalliche;<\/li>\n<li>un\u2019eccellente continuit\u00e0 elettrica in modo che le correnti superficiali che percorrono trasversalmente la guarnizione non vedano gaps o punte che possono favorire scariche durante la fase di alimentazione in potenza;<\/li>\n<li>tenuta da vuoto e contatto a RF con bassissima compressione tra le parti, in modo che le superfici adiacenti la guarnizione non si deformino e sia possibile sostituire eventualmente la guarnizione stessa senza dove rilavorare le parti.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][\/vc_column][vc_column width=&#8221;1\/4&#8243;
