I dispositivi di imaging plenottico consentono di acquisire l\u2019immagine di una scena e, contemporaneamente, di individuare la direzione di propagazione della luce; ne consegue la capacit\u00e0 di rifocalizzare, a posteriori, parti della scena inizialmente fuori fuoco e di ricostruire l\u2019immagine 3D della scena stessa. Di particolare interesse \u00e8 il loro utilizzo nell\u2019ambito della microscopia per applicazioni biologiche, in cui la microscopia plenottica ha consentito l\u2019analisi tridimensionale, in tempo reale (&gt;10 immagini\/sec), dell\u2019attivit\u00e0 neuronale di invertebrati e larve di pesci.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Malgrado il crescente utilizzo anche in campi come l\u2019ispezione industriale, il monitoraggio delle piante, l\u2019imaging dallo spazio, i dispositivi plenottici allo stato dell\u2019arte sono intrinsecamente limitati da un forte trade-off: la perdita di risoluzione dell\u2019immagine \u00e8 proporzionale al guadagno di risoluzione sulla misura della direzione della luce. L\u2019effettivo utilizzo degli attuali dispositivi risulta pertanto fortemente limitato, soprattutto in quei contesti in cui sono necessarie risoluzioni microscopiche e\/o ricostruzioni 3D.<\/p>\n<p>[\/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space][vc_row_inner row_type=&#8221;row&#8221; type=&#8221;full_width&#8221; text_align=&#8221;left&#8221; css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;732&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][vc_column_inner width=&#8221;1\/2&#8243;][vc_single_image image=&#8221;733&#8243; img_size=&#8221;medium&#8221; qode_css_animation=&#8221;&#8221;][\/vc_column_inner][\/vc_row_inner][vc_empty_space][vc_column_text]<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">In effetti, il tradeoff insito nei dispositivi convenzionali di imaging plenottico deriva dall\u2019utilizzo di un <span class=\"s1\"><i>unico sensore <\/i><\/span>per l\u2019acquisizione sia dell\u2019immagine della scena sia della direzione di propagazione della luce, attraverso la <span class=\"s1\"><i>misura dell\u2019intensit\u00e0 della luce<\/i><\/span>. La tecnologia proposta, denominata Correlation Plenoptic Microscopy (CPM), \u00e8 basata su un principio di funzionamento completamente diverso: la <span class=\"s1\"><i>misura delle correlazioni quantistiche, spazio-temporali, <\/i><\/span>intrinseche nella luce. Tale misura viene realizzata utilizzando <span class=\"s1\"><i>due sensori disgiunti<\/i><\/span>: uno dedicato all\u2019acquisizione dell\u2019immagine della scena, uno all\u2019acquisizione dell\u2019informazione direzionale.
