Since 1995, the group has contributed to the construction of the interferometric gravitational-wave detector <a href=\"https:\/\/www.virgo-gw.eu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Virgo<\/a>, located in Cascina (Pisa).Our team consists of research staff from the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.roma1.infn.it\/en\/home.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Institute of Nuclear Physics (INFN)<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.phys.uniroma1.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sapienza University of Rome<\/a>, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnr.it\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">National Research Council (CNR)<\/a>. We are involved in several aspects of the development and enhancement of  Virgo, including work on the suspensions for the detector test masses, light squeezing, and parametric instabilities.
