About the conference
Where the storage community comes together.
CS3 brings together providers, developers and users of innovative storage and sync & share services, alongside the research communities that rely on them.
The conference is a place to exchange experiences across local laboratories, regional collaborations and global science, connecting data services with user environments and higher-level applications. In 2027, the community meets in Bologna, hosted by INFN CNAF.

Join the CS3 community in Bologna, Italy, from 9 to 11 March 2027.
Venue: CNR Area Territoriale di Ricerca di Bologna.
The location offers a convenient and well-connected setting for participants traveling both locally and internationally. Further practical details and directions will be provided closer to the beginning of the conference.
Please note that no hotel rooms have been pre-booked for conference participants. Attendees are therefore kindly invited to arrange their own accommodation using the usual commercial booking platforms.
Our recommendation is to stay in Bologna’s city center, which offers a wider choice of accommodation, restaurants, and services.
The conference venue can be conveniently reached from the center by public transportation (bus).

- The Congress Centre is conveniently accessible from Bologna’s main transportation hubs and road networks:
- By car: easily reachable from the main highways and ring road (tangenziale).
- From Bologna Airport (BLQ): a short taxi ride or a combination of airport shuttle and local transport.
- From Bologna Central Railway Station: approximately 10–15 minutes by taxi.
- By public transport: bus lines 34, 37, and 87 provide direct connections to the CNR area. - Accommodation
