{"id":1267,"date":"2026-03-13T11:43:35","date_gmt":"2026-03-13T10:43:35","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/?p=1267"},"modified":"2026-03-17T10:12:00","modified_gmt":"2026-03-17T09:12:00","slug":"xgrade2026-workshop","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/xgrade2026-workshop\/","title":{"rendered":"Advances in X-ray and Gamma RAy DEtectors and applications (XGRADE) workshop"},"content":{"rendered":"\r\n<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-1408 size-large\" src=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Palermo-1024x576.png\" alt=\"palermo\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" title=\"Advances in X-ray and Gamma RAy DEtectors and applications (XGRADE) workshop\" srcset=\"https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Palermo-1024x576.png 1024w, https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Palermo-1536x864.png 1536w, https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Palermo-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Palermo-768x432.png 768w, https:\/\/web.infn.it\/enrich\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/02\/Palermo.png 1920w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\r\n<p>We are pleased to announce the first edition of the\u00a0<em>\u201c<\/em><em>Advances in\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>X<\/em><\/strong><em>-ray and\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>G<\/em><\/strong><em>amma\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>RA<\/em><\/strong><em>y\u00a0<\/em><strong><em>DE<\/em><\/strong><em>tectors and applications (XGRADE)\u201d<\/em>\u00a0workshop that will be held at University of Palermo, Italy on\u00a0<strong>24-26 March 2026<\/strong>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>XGRADE2026\u00a0<\/strong>is the first\u00a0event\u00a0organized in the framework of the COST Action\u00a0CA24131-ENRICH:\u00a0<strong>E<\/strong><em>uropean\u00a0<\/em><strong>N<\/strong><em>etwork for radiation-detection based\u00a0<\/em><strong>R<\/strong><em>esearch and\u00a0<\/em><strong>I<\/strong><em>nnovation addressing increasing societal\u00a0<\/em><strong>CH<\/strong><em>allenges<\/em>.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The main goal of\u00a0<strong>XGRADE2026<\/strong>\u00a0workshop is to provide a forum for discussion of the state of the art for X-ray and gamma ray detector technology, including materials improvement, device development and characterization, electronic readout, signal processing, system development and applications. The XGRADE workshop will stimulate new ideas and collaborations among researchers working on radiation detectors and imagers for X-ray and gamma ray measurements.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>All the information and the registration and abstract submission forums can be found at this link: <a href=\"https:\/\/indico.global\/e\/XGRADE2026\">https:\/\/indico.global\/e\/XGRADE2026<\/a><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Deadlines\u00a0for registration and abstract submission are set to 22\/02\/2026.<\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The ENRICH COST Action will provide<strong> full financial support up to 10 participants<\/strong>; people who are interested in receiving this support must apply for it at the registration stage and will be asked to upload a CV.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>The final list of supported participants will be decided by the ENRICH Core Group, and in particular by the Leaders of WG2.
