The production and decay of a heavy charged Higgs boson via process at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) can be proved by exploiting the chiral structure of the vertex. Two popular realisations of a 2-Higgs Double Model (2HDM-I and 2HDMY), embedding a charged Higgs boson, can be distinguished: their different chiral structures trigger opposite spin states of the top quark which is then transmitted to its decay products. A fit strategy using the morphing technique, by means of sensitive observables, is capable to extract the characteristics of such a charged Higgs boson state in data recorded by the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC).
Nello Bruscino – INFN ROMA1
Dr. Nello Bruscino (PhD in Physics in 2017) is a researcher at INFN Roma 1 Unit. He is member of the ATLAS Collaboration since 2012, with a long experience in the field of collider-based high energy physics.
He has been engaged in the operation of the electromagnetic calorimeter and data acquisition system of the ATLAS detector and has been working on the top-quark and the Higgs-boson sectors.
He currently coordinates the ATLAS Top Properties & Mass group and is the PI of the H2020 MSCA FELLINI project “Probing Higgs false vacuum at LHC” to search for the Higgs boson associated to a singly-produced top quark.
He is an official CERN and ATLAS tour guide and regularly participates in outreach activities.
