WELCOME TO THE home of the LHCB-Pisa group

LHCb is one of the major particle physics experiments installed at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN. It is an international collaboration of about 800 physicists from around the world, and is dedicated to the investigation of all aspects of the physics of heavy flavors. LHCb has access to the largest samples of bottom and charm quarks ever seen, and its mission is to perform a high-sensitivity exploration of the central physics questions of the post-Higgs era, including the cosmological matter-antimatter asymmetry and the existence of possible new and unknown fundamental interactions.

LHCb-PISA is one of the ~65 institutions forming the LHCb collaboration, and is formed by staff of the local Dipartimento di Fisica, Istituto Nazionale di Fisica Nucleare, and Scuola Normale Superiore.

Further information on the LHCb experiment and the Pisa group in LHCb can be found from the links on the left or the tabs at the top of this page.
