LABEC researchers tell about their scientific activity in various occasions, also opening the door of the laboratory to visitors in some special events. These initiatives involve people of all ages.
INFN Kids is an initiative funded by INFN Comitato di Coordinamento di Terza Missione (CC3M, Third Mission Coordination Committee). Our goal is to get children from primary and junior high schools, their teachers and their parents to physics and science in general. LABEC takes part to this initiative with other researchers from the INFN unit of Florence and from many other units and national laboratories. More info: web.infn.it/infn-kids.
Every year LABEC contributes to ScienzEstate, the initiative open to the whole population organized by OpenLab of University of Florence. Visits to the laboratories and activities and games for children are typically organized.
The 2021 edition, because of the Covid-19 emergency, took place online, with videos and activities published on the YouTube channel of the university and on ScienzEstate website.
