Optional excursions
Some optional excursions will be organized in the afternoon of Wednesday 18th. The available options are (other optional excursions will be added in this page soon):
A survey for the choice of the excursion, already open at this link, will be circulated in due time and will be followed by payment instructions.
In case you prefer to organize the free afternoon on your own, here are some suggestions of beautiful locations in the area. Note that we don’t organize excursions to the destinations listed below, but you can easily reach them by yourself:
- Camogli, a fishing village located on the Golfo Paradiso, reachable from Sestri Levanti by train
- Cinque Terre (“Five Lands”), a coastal area comprising five villages (Monterosso al Mare, Vernazza, Corniglia, Manarola and Riomaggiore), part of the Cinque Terre National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. You can reach any of the five villages by train from Sestri Levante.
- Porto Venere, a town on the Ligurian coast comprising also the three islands of Palmaria, Tino and Tinetto, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is reachable going by train to La Spezia, then by bus or boat to Porto Venere.
