WP1: Event reconstruction
The activity of WP1 is devoted to the development of reconstruction algorithms for the long-lived Λ baryons and the short-lived Λc+ and Ξc+ baryons. This comprises the definition of online high-level trigger and offline reconstruction algorithms. The main challenge here is represented by the reconstruction of Λ baryons decaying at the end of the LHCb magnet, using forward tracking stations and Cherenkov detector information. This requires the development “ad-hoc” and advanced reconstruction algorithms.
