Our research: from the detector to the observations and beyond

Our group is actively involved in a broad range of activities related to Virgo and gravitational-wave science. We make substantial contributions to the upgrade and commissioning of major subsystems of the Virgo interferometer, including the mirror suspension system and the interferometer control system. In parallel, we carry out extensive analyses of Virgo and LIGO data, searching for gravitational-wave sources that have not yet been detected and investigating the properties of those that have already been observed.
