MISSIONS
WORK TRAVELS (INFN MISSIONS)
TRAVEL (Basic)
If you need to travel:
- first you need to be registered with INFN
- you need to open a “Missione” with INFN (details of how this works to be discussed with your supervisor).
- An information email to the RL is strongly suggested.
- you might need to declare or open a “Missione” also with UniPD (there could be money for travel, certainly for PhDs)
- You need to keep good track of all your expenses
once back you need to “Close” the INFN missione to be reimbursed (supervisor can help if you have questions)
TRAVEL (Advanced)
Read here before contacting RL or Ufficio Missioni (Giulia Coltri):
- if you are going to give a talk (not a poster) at a national or international Conference, the cost of the Missione is split between CMS (50%) and the INFN Group 1 (50%), the latter known as Dotazioni Gr 1. Remember to inform both the CMS Local Responsible and the Group 1 Coordinator before initiating the pocedure on the portal.
- when you fly, the default airport is Venice and the default train station is Padova. For departures from any other location you need to show proof that there is a good reason and it is cheaper
- The default reimbursable way to reach the Venice airport from Padova is the Bus (Busitalia Veneto Navetta) from the Padova train station, 13euro (one person with luggage)
NOTES:
- bus/tram ticket to reach Padova train/bus station is NOT refundable;
- bus/tram tickect from airport/train station at CERN are refundable if used in the day of travel to/from Padova, but you need to keep the physical ticket;
- if the flight from Venice is at very early/very late hours the navette airService could be used instead (needs to be an acceptable justification, check before booking);
