CHIRONE is an experiment of INFN - CNS3 dedicated to the study of heavy ions collisions with the multidetector CHIMERA and the correlator FARCOS, studying isospin effects in reaction dynamics, collective modes of nuclei, symmetry energy term of nuclear equation of state and clustering of light nuclei.
The experiment, involving INFN-CT, INFN-LNS, INFN-MI and DFA-UNICT, operates with stable and radioactive beams of INFN-LNS of Catania and also with high energy beams of GSI in Darmstadt.
