  • Transverse momentum dependent parton distribution functions (also known as TMDs) are at the basis of theoretical models for the study of spin phenomena in high-energy hadronic physics and their phenomenology. TMDs are defined through hadronic correlators incorporating gauge links (in order to preserve QCD color gauge invariance) that lead to peculiar features of TMDs as far as concern their universality properties. Investigating how these gauge links affect TMDs by using functional methods and renormalization group techniques would be quite interesting, building a bridge among the two fields of research.
