we are happy to announce that registrations for the 6th INFN School of Statistics are now open!

The school will be taking place in Paestum (Salerno), Italy, from the 12th to the 17th of May 2024, and is targeted at PhD students, researchers, and senior physicists working in the field of particle, astroparticle, and nuclear physics.

Its programme covers the state-of-the art statistical methods for data analysis, and it includes hands-on sessions and practical applications.

The school will cover:

• probability theory and statistical Inference

• hypothesis testing and interval estimation

• multivariate analysis and machine learning technique

• software tools and hands-on sessions with applications and exercises
