The KEK Laboratory (Tsukuba, Japan) and INFN have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to facilitate and support scientific cooperation in the fields of Nuclear Physics of High Energies and development of advanced technologies for particle accelerators.

The agreement signs a significant strengthening of scientific collaboration between INFN and Japan. In the Tuskuba campus of KEK is now under onstruction the Belle-II experiment that will take data at SuperKEKB, an innovative accelerator to search for new physics, while in the Tokai campus is already operative the T2K experiment to study neutrinos. More then 60 researcher and technologist from 10 INFN groups and laboratories are already at work at these two experiments.
