BULLKID – DM

The BULLKID-DM experiment is intended for the search of WIMP-like Dark Matter through direct detection. Specifically, BULLKID – DM is designed to explore the lower mass region of the WIMP parameter space, for masses <1 GeV.

By implementing 16 BULLKID detector arrays on silicon substrate, the BULLKID-DM experiment is expected to reach a sensitive target mass of ~600 g, allowing the establishment of competitive exclusion limits in a single year of measurement.

The BULLKID-DM experiment will be hosted in the CryoPlatform@LNGS, located deep underground, in the Laboratori Nazionali del Gran Sasso (LNGS), under ~3700 m.w.e. of overburden, shielding the experiment from the cosmogenic background radiation found at surface.
