The Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) invites applications for a postdoctoral fellowship within the QUAGRAP research group, based in Trieste. This position is set to begin in the Fall of 2025 and involves research on the "Theory and Phenomenology of Quantum Gravity Motivated Black Hole Mimickers."
Position Overview:
We are seeking candidates with a strong background in the subject, particularly those experienced in the application of analytical and semi-analytical methods to the study of regular black holes and ultra-compact stars. Additional expertise in gravitational wave physics and semiclassical gravity is highly desirable.
About the QUAGRAP Trieste Group:
The QUAGRAP group, led by Prof. S. Liberati, is housed at SISSA (Scuola Internazionale Superiore di Studi Avanzati) in Trieste. Our team consists of a Principal Investigator, two postdoctoral researchers, and four graduate students. The main subjects of research are Quantum Gravity Phenomenology, Analogue Gravity, Black Hole Thermodynamics and Extended Theories of Gravity. Eligibility:
The position is open to non-Italian citizens or Italian nationals who have been continuously residing abroad for the past three years as of the application deadline.
