JACoW
Joint Accelerator Conferences Website — Open access proceedings since 1996
The Joint Accelerator Conferences Website (JACoW) is an international collaboration that publishes open access electronic proceedings of accelerator conferences held around the world. SRF is one of the eighteen member conference series of the JACoW Collaboration.
Originally established in 1996 for the publication of EPAC and PAC conference proceedings, JACoW was joined by APAC for its first conference in 1998. Today, the collaboration includes the following conference series:
The collaboration is supported by accelerator laboratories worldwide, contributing resources for conference editing, JACoW governance, and providing IT support, servers and licenses.
Each conference series agrees to adopt common templates and produce JACoW-compatible files for publication. All series abide by terms of reference and boundary conditions which facilitate the training of JACoW editors through hands-on experience during conferences, and through attendance at annual JACoW Team Meetings where technical problems related to electronic publication are addressed.
A comprehensive set of tools, developed by JACoW in collaboration with Indico, supports Local Chairs for conference preparation and running — from the initial call through all organizational aspects — and Scientific Committees for abstract selection, programme planning, paper submission, editing and light peer review. At the conclusion of each conference, proceedings are published via the JACoW platform.
