Hypoxic cell culture chamber with oxygenation gradient

The invention covered by the patent is a cell culture chamber that operates under controlled oxygen conditions, even under oxygen gradient conditions. In particular, compared to commercial chambers, this chamber is smaller in size and can operate in any position, and also solves the problem of irradiation and sterilization of the chamber itself.

How does it work?

The patented chamber can operate in any position, horizontal or vertical, thanks to films that remain taut and prevent the chamber from bulging. A hole allows for venting and therefore filling with gas. The gas flow is turbulent, allowing for better diffusion. The chamber has inlet and outlet areas to allow for better gas diffusion.
The walls of the chamber are fixed with a frame and can therefore be changed as needed. They are also very thin and transparent to allow for optical inspection.
Finally, in the gradient chamber version for horizontal use, the system can be filled with a certain amount of culture medium.
