We warmly invite you to the first“European AI for Fundamental Physics Conference” (EuCAIFCon) which will be held in Amsterdam, from 30th April to 3rd May 2024. The aim of this event is to establish new connections between AI activities across various branches of fundamental physics, by bringing together researchers facing similar challenges and/or who are developing common AI solutions. The conference will be organized “horizontally”: parallel sessions are centered on specific AI methods and themes, while being cross-disciplinary regarding the scientific questions.
EuCAIFCon is organized by EuCAIF (European Coalition for AI in Fundamental Physics) [1], and hosted by the University of Amsterdam, Nikhef and Radboud University. EuCAIF is a new European initiative for advancing the use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Fundamental Physics.
It is endorsed by APPEC, ECFA and NuPECC and contributes to the mission of the community-overarching JENA activities [2]. Members are working on particle physics, astroparticle physics, nuclear physics, gravitational wave physics, cosmology, theoretical physics as well as simulation and computational infrastructure.
EuCAIFCon will be the kick-off meeting of this new JENAA (Joint ECFA-NuPECC-APPECC Activity).
