Development of a nanocomposite material consisting of carbon nanotubes in a copper matrix, to be used for additive manufacturing (Selective Laser Melting, SLM).
The addition of the nanotubes improves the mechanical properties, making the composite stronger than pure copper. This allows to combine the excellent thermal and electrical properties of the metal with a better mechanical behaviour that makes it possible to use this material even in those applications where structural capabilities are necessary, without reducing thermal and electrical conduction.
